Funny, on that video, it was made by Pa Bell and Southern New England. Several buyouts later, my paystub still says Southern New England.

 

They had grandfathered party line here well into the 90's. Most had only one party and the phone co. couldn't make the subscriber get rid of it. It was a whole buck cheaper than a 1fr service,lol.
Only when enhanced 911 came out, the party line was totally gone.

Hadn't heard a thing until you asked. Appears to have only affected Unalaska, and that was minor amount. Ash cloud moving east at 35,000 feet, but no effect to aviation from what I read locally. I expect there is a NOTAM to avoid the altitude/area. Pretty far out the chain and relatively remote area.

I like it. I got one, and the little amp to go with it. Something very old, like from the 50s. Someday I will get the cord fixed.

I may just be being too picky but I don't think the color match is very good and they forgot the stripes
