    Same as everybody else...
That's rare these days to have a relationship like that with a neighbor. There's a few people on my street that I have a friendly relationship with. Like they'll put down their rake and talk awhile about family or will help me if I'm under the hood. Most seem very private or think that I'm working some sort of angle with them.

There really is and we have streams open all year here too. My Ex wanted to get married on trout opener years ago. Her father and I told her that if she wanted to do it in waders standing in the creek then we all go fishing after we would consider it. She did not and agreed to move it out a couple of months. Turns out if we would have gotten married those couple of months earlier I would be paying her 50% of my retired military pay instead of 24%. Her father and I stayed best friends until he passed away and I do miss him a lot. Her not so much.

Mike you have me convinced to go totally barbless now! They are a lot easier to back out.

Yeah driving to the er with that hook buried, trying to not bleed in my truck, finger swelling, hand throbbing- it just sucked. I might be just be a little skeered of that lure for a while!
Truth told I am more of a trout man than ocean, beach is closer

Our street has had block parties on the 4th with FD, PD and my rescue squad, with games, dessert contest, water balloon fight and end it with fireworks.
Couple of months ago neighbor came home to a broken water main and a soggy front yard. Before long there were 4 of us helping until we finished at 9 pm under work lights.
    Great group!

I did that is where I have been for two days just stopping in and going back out . Damn dog attempted to jump out of the truck at the vets for laser treatment yeah well I caught him before he crashed his leg would not hold that and he still had the stitches in his belly. Catching most of his weight with the right was not the brightest idea I have had worked but hurt like a bitch !!! Still does better living through chemistry add in the rapid weather / barometric changes Thurs / Friday yep thank you mother nature you bitch ended up with a migraine grr layed low Friday and Sat got his stitches out but I just puttered around as it was still hanging around . He is still wearing his cone of shame since the leg is still healing . This getting old shit ... ugg with luck you have been not going stir crazy to go fishing unlike he who shall not be named : ]

Our house has a heater...it's never been turned on

I went to the grocery store last night and it was like the snowbirds had flown. I seen families (with children), young couples, middle aged couples. I think I was one of the older people there.

I'm the neighbor who has most everything. I went and got my mower from one neighbor to loan to another neighbor so they could mow and cleanup the yard before the new renters move in next week.

Good morning folks. I think I'm just going to relax. I have to meet with some people this afternoon and I really don't like doing much on Sundays if I don't have to.

Morning all. I seem to sleep in when the family is away. The cat tries to wake me up, but I outweigh him by alot...I mean it really is no contest.

    Yeah well even a stopped clock is right twice a day right lol I will live just to annoy the shit out of people just bitching and yeah whining so :}

I had the cap open and just unlocked the tail gate and was dropping it with my left hand he decided ok time to get out ..Right hand was free soooooooooo yeah well it is what it is . Your pup is doing ok mobility wise you say , so that is good. Sax can move but the leg is not as strong as it should be so if he had landed I am pretty sure it would have caved under him. You do what you got to do ..

I think we're about done. I mowed the lawn and weeded a little yesterday and was pretty good. We got a little rain and a bunch of wind and I think that took care of the majority of the pollen problem.

Yeah my best friend lives a mile away we do similar just with a text hey do you have any of ___ or hey I borrowed ______ will have it back _______ always comes back clean and serviceable same as I do with his stuff. Between us we own most anything you would need for car repair, house projects etc He has his tractor I have the trailers lol so it works out . He is one of the only people Saxon will let in the house if I am not here though even he does it loudly and slowly . He says he is pretty sure Saxon won't bite but he is not willing to push it ( he has seen him on a bite sleeve) lol I told him you used to be a fireman if your crazy enough to run into a burning building what are you afraid of a few teeth lol Besides Sax is older and slower now a days lol

I may have 1 neighbor like that. I've gotten to where I don't loan anything because it won't come back unless I ask for it. For the 1 neighbor, we just don't borrow from each other.

I had to laugh yesterday morning. A neighbor on the next street over went to the river and they couldn't remember if they'd closed their garage door after they pulled the boat out and took off. So they shot me a text to go check it out. I don't know how many times I'd done that. So now I got in the habit of nosing my truck in instead of backing in so, as the truck warms a little, I can watch the garage door go down.

I could've mowed but refuse to mow every weekend now. Gets old with a few acres. Granted I don't mow it all I like to keep parts woodsy. Even quit mowing the dry creek so there's roots holding dirt back. Tophats started coming up there.
