Been through the same with my wife's breast cancer a few years ago. Scary as hell. But we beat it. I say "we" because it takes everyone around you to get through this.
Stay the course Blue. You have good support all around you. Let them be part of this and Team Blue will beat this.

After the initial shock, I'm already starting to dig my heels in and get ready to fight this. There are several reasons that give me extra motivation. Not least of which is my wife. She led a tough life growing up. I made a promise to myself years ago that I was going to do everything in my power to take care of her. And then there's the grand kids....3 of them don't even know their father. I have to make certain there's a positive male role model in their lives. Lastly, anyone who knows me will tell you I am the most stubborn person to ever walk the face of the earth. When I do go, it's going to be on my terms if there's anything I can do about it.

So....Enough of the feeling sorry for myself crap. Now the fight starts.

Bad news Bluegrass. But it's amazing what they can do these days. Sister had stage 4 cancer of the liver. 2 resections and lots of drugs later, she's in remission for going on 5 years now.

Ok....Go home from work, get out the lawn mower, step in a giant pile of fresh dog crap, argue with a cable TV salesman that decides to stand in my way while I'm weed eating, run out of gas on the cub cadet with about 30 seconds of mowing left......And STILL not lose my temper.

    That's called self control.

Follow that up with 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

    That's what I call a restful evening.

So....Back to work....This'll test the temper thingy....

I can relate! Just finished Two and a half months of all kinds of pollen. It gets real bad Here! I just put a new cabin filter in. The pollen murders filters.

    Morning all.

Trees are finally budding and coming on strong here ... we'll be greened up in about a day ... still amazed how fast it happens here. I think pollen is going to be heavy here this year as well. Doesn't bother me too much, but my wife has started up her Claritin ritual and says it's bothering her. Probably need to thatch and get some fertilizer down this next break.

    Enjoy the day! :)
