Spent the day out working on the airfield. We were about 50 yards off a hot runway. We had a massive Russian cargo plane take off rt next to us and an airbus a380

We have to watch it also. All too often someone will take what we say as "official" and then it gets ugly. But I'm thinking your employer doesn't really want outsiders to see the inner workings or how the magic happens.

I hated that. F16s and FA 18s taking off. That can turn 5 word sentence into a 45 second pause.

Believe it or not the really big jets are much quieter than the small ones. Fighters are the coolest to watch but the loudest by far

I'd love to go in one of the a380's I think they seat 650 depending on the configuration. The engines are 6 mill apiece

I'd guess the Russian was an IL-76. Designed for the military but later sold for commercial. The emissions/pollution is to the point where many European airports won't let the land.

Yeah it says Andropov something on it but as far as I know that could just be the company name. It's big but I think a c5a is bigger

Hey Bob, I thought I would give it a 'turn'. My first project. The wife cried when I gave it to her.

I thought about you on the way home when I passed 2 trucks pulling little bass boats and one was a tracker. Just think how much longer you could fish down here
