These winds are really strong right now , I'm seeing tumbleweeds rolling down the street . should make it interesting to drive in today , nothing like a little sand blasting on your vehicles paint and windshield

Also climbing the 4k ft Cajon pass should be fun also by being hit with 60mph gusts

Some of the best, and worst, meals I had in the Navy while deployed involved mystery meat. Being a pit snipe anytime we were around the islands or St. Thomas usually meant headed to GTMO or back from an OPPE- Operational Propulsion Plant Examination. Working around the clock fixing and repairing steam leaks etc. When ever we pulled in around the Islands I was on board either working or passed out from lack of sleep. But now more than 20 years later have given thought to taking one of those cruise ship trips to the Caribbean. Maybe next year in the dead of winter.

Had a CMC who when he came on board took over the Chief's Mess to try and improve our quality of life. When underway Saturday nights meal was always surf and turf. Frozen lobster for surf and the turf was what ever could be "locally" procured. It was hit or miss and one week he said that it was water buffalo. I had eaten water buffalo in Kenya, and didn't have the heart to tell the Master Blaster that it sure as hell wasn't water buffalo LOL.

Saw GTMO a time or two, was a plankowner
On Theodore Roosevelt. Our repair locker won the DC Olympics so they let us go ashore and play softball and eat sliders

I'm very active and with a specialized prosthetic knee joint designed for highly active people such as my self . My doctors are mad at me because I'm so highly active and this knee replacement is already worn out . This particular prosthesis is designed to last 15 - 20 years and I barely have 3 years

I walk on average even with sharp knee pain 30 miles a week and since Aug of last year I've walked 974 miles !!

    Yes happy Saturday #1.

Naw. Chris is still sensitive about his recent cutting. Lol

    Wouldn't that be hardware updates?

Looked like the perp had a stovepipe and the kid saw it, knew there wasn't any danger of being shot.

We have a winner subject dirty handed the slide causing a readily apparent miss feed the weapon not have gone off . I still would have handed over the cash myself unless I had a weapon handy but lol the cashier was still very cool unless he really noticed the weapon was not in battery and relaxed and followed what I hope is company policy.

In this day and age I think that I'd be less concerned about a robbery. Now these jealous, heartbroken, pissed-off ones - those are the ones that just don't care. But who am I to say - I've never had a gun shoved in my face.

I'd bet the company's policy is hand over the money. Myself seeing how the bad guy was trying to be quiet and all had I seen the round not in battery I would have had to start laughing before and as handing over the bucks. He basically brought. Gun looking hammer to rob the store and it's too funny. Besides that if your gonna shoot me do it right and give me the sweet release.:rofl:o_O
