Stationed on the Forrestal in dry dock in Norfolk until she was ready to sail then a 6 month Med cruise. We relieved the Saratoga on that cruise. Folks don't realize the workings that go on to make a carrier tick. It's amazing. Was ships company in the Guided Missile Div. Easy duty as a second class AO.

I'm happy to be this side of Green, and bought my new Sporty Quicksand Apr. 15th, my first Toy!ota Truck! I'm 62 and feel like I'm 32 again with the exception of the aches and pains of a well lived, on the road, partied my ass off, life of a field services tech for a transformer services company. The new Truck makes me want to go home and take my woman for a cruise to anywhere she's ready to be. Happy to be Sporting around in the new Taco-wheels! I'm sure you all like your whip as well! Keep pushin' those wheels, all around the town! Rock ON!

Did my good deed for the month.
Thousands of dollars put in this car.
    Still no resolution.
Oil light staying on with key out.
    Battery going dead
    Relays clicking.

    Yeup dropped in my lap.

I hate my job but I'm fuckin good at it.

    Had something simular last year.

    Found this.
    image.jpg

Connector to far gone to repair.

So I rerouted and bypassed the situation.
    image.jpg

It has a water leak I believe from a aftermarket windshield which runs water down the wiring into the connector.
So I bypassed and sealed the repair against infiltration.

Then to help the situation I bagged the junction block to reroute the water running down the wireing.
    image.jpg
So saved them a couple thousand in wiring harnesses and labor.
So now up to them to fix the cause.

Had to off load all our heavy weapons on the way over before we hit port. almost 2 days of offloading. But we didn't have to wait to fuel in Norfolk. Fortunately we had good weather on the return trip.

Our Capt. loved being at sea. some of the crew complained once. He said Sailors belong at Sea if you don't like it what the hell did you join the Navy for? You should have enlisted in the Army. I think we stayed out to sea for an extra two weeks because of them complaining.

Yep the Wanna Be Doth Raki was a bit much but his blade was far prettier the bend screwed him , I do not get the other guy knowing his blade had a problem day 3 or 4 and instead of fixing it just left it alone . The gold gilt looked umm not so good but since I have never done it I can't speak to weather or not it would hold up under use .
