    Well, I got one of those dreaded phone calls.

    Dad's in the hospital. I just took the up to their summer house on Cape Cod last weekend. Looks like a heart problem and over the winter, he had major open heart valve replacement surgery which all seemed to go really well. So I'll be heading out to the Cape for a while. Mom's all shook up which is certainly understandable. Seeing how I've been up since before 5am, I'll head out in the morning...

    I was able to talk to the Dr on call. Congestive heart failure - should be treatable but I'm waiting to talk to the cardiologist as to why he would go into heart failure if the valve replacement and aortic aneurysm repair was to eliminate it.
