    Seriously I do like it but I also tend to keep my calibers in the normal realm for well reasons.... I do own a few odd balls as inherited or for the coolness factor but I balance coolness factor with other more useful tools :}

    I'm guessing that you're needing to do more than just access a DoD site. California is one of the sates that's in compliance with the Real ID Act, which from what I've seen so far is the basics for what you need to get in the gate.

    FIFY. Sorry couldn't resist... :p And sounds like you need a laugh, which is my intention.

    Ah, erh, ah same here. Although I do not keep the ceramic guide sticks in the truck. They are some place in the garage. I think.

    Agree. Will pick up tomorrow with the knives :D The reason I use a 5" boning knife so much is that I cut meat after High School for awhile. I use it for pretty much every thing :anonymous: But am comfortable with it. Yeah I have 2 sets of Chicago Cutlery also, now stop copying me!

    Speaking of guns won a unicorn on Gunbroker today. An Ithaca 37 16 ga. Solid Rib Pre War. Should be here next week, did instant check out and paid for it. Couple of people bidding against me and came within $15 of my bid. Was real surprised none of them kept going I think they knew I was serious. LOL OK proves even a blind squirrel gets a lucky nut once in awhile. Of course pics to follow. Will need a little work but think I will be very pleased.

    Good night, slept late so stayed up late. Seems to all balance out in the end. Never get ahead and give up trying.

    Oh btw @RickS check this out. I think I know what happened but will see what happens on the next trip. Look closely at the 12 Oclock ish position between primer and rim and then at primer . No it did not fire round is still intact. I believe the weapon was not completely in battery and attempted to fire . Recycled and replaced round still no joy. I am guessing the first failure damaged the primer internally so it would not ignite on the second strike. This was 40 rounds in from that fresh box on a first firing since owning.

    Interesting. Any unusually harsh marring on the walls of the brass from not feeding smoothly that first time? Do you reload. Be curious to see what the primer looks like.

    No I do not reload, I have looked at it many times just not enough space/ time etc . The only marks are some minor grooving as shown on the rim on a fingernail check guess maybe .005 to .008 deep but only on the very edge not shell case. I may find a reloader and see if they will dismantle it I probably can but with out the bullet pliers etc I would be leery of inducing damage and not seeing what actually happnened.

    @RickS
    What I found out when I first bought the weapon as it comes with 9 round mags it would not take 9 rounds in any of the three mags. Regardless of how you tried to load them by hand or with the provided loader. Posted here in the glock thread and on the glock board it was a known thing apparently was told to go shoot a few times they loosen up and good to go. I did not do that but did follow the load and unload tap cycle a dozen or so times per mag till I could get all 9 in but it was tight.
    I put it in battery standard charging method snap slide back and let fly forward. Weapon click nothing fail cycle tap and rack go on. Picked up the round did not see much other then that mark at 12 oclock and felt the tiny scratches on the rim edge. Put it in mag cycled fire nope check cround nice hit on the primer so guess slide was not engaged with barrel lug but enough and since the bullet / hammer assembly were not aligned got the top off center primer strike. Which may have damaged the primer so when it was struck not enough there to ignite.

    Bullet pullers are reasonably priced and a handy tool.

    I'm down to my last bottle of GlenFiddich but it's only the 12 yr old. I'm waiting for it to go on sale at the Class 6.
