Oh man, these are some true words...with Kristi deployed in Phoenix I find myself grocery shopping, and actually having to pay attention and read labels (versus pushing the cart, or just staying in the truck) ... there are 20 different varieties, nuances, or whateverthehell of everything these days. These marketing people are out of control...

@MQQSE and all who were in the truck convo the other night, I was fooling around looking at the GMC Canyon Diesel it has some pretty good spec's for towing my style of camper hell it is rated for 7K has exh braking etc ... If I was in the market for a new vehicle I would consider it in a moment over a full size I think. How I wish Toyota would just bring their Diesel here the canyon had some pretty impressive sales on par and even edging Tacoma's out here and there.

I looked at those at the AZ State Fair last year ... impressive rigs. I'm not a diesel fan, don't really have an application requiring it right now. I don't get Toyota's hesitation to bring a diesel to market, either Tacoma or Tundra. :der:

I used to run diesel - 96 Cummins 2500. When I bought it new in 96, diesel was 3/4 or less the price of regular unleaded. Over the years, the CT "King" raised the fuel tax and that combined with the low sulfur requirement has driven the cost a good .15 - .25 more than super. When I bought my Tacoma in '13, I looked at replacing the Cummins with another but the cost to buy one is sky high. It was more than 60K to get a similarly equipped full size Dodge Cummins vs the Tacoma. Also wasn't overly interested in the quantity of emissions items needed. My 96, turned lower mid 20's on highway mpg and a healthy 16-18 around town. And that was with a turned up fuel pump, marine injectors, pushing 40psi and laying down 1000 ft-lbs. Would I ever get another oil burner? Yes but it would have to be an older vehicle like another P Pump Cummins or maybe a Rabbit pickup (I know someone that had one with stacks o_O)...

Happy Hump Day, we need RAIN. My lawn is starting to look like straw, my poor old well doesn't like watering the whole yard. Hope you knuckle heads are well. Thoughts and prayers for Mike and Carroll, I wish I could help.

A great Aunt who lived in Greensboro , NC her husband took up his entire front yard made a few planters here and there and put down the big chip bark style mulch over the rest of the lawn. It looked pretty good if I can recall correctly it was 37 years or so ago . I always wondered what happened if there was a big wind storm or something.

:annoyed: Those things hurt like hell.
I've had like 1 or 2 and they both sucked.
