My knees have decided to act up Doc says it's arthritis, so Still walking the pooches and pretty much doing what I want... They aren't too bad, thank goodness.

And I have arthritis in my back,neck,elbow,knees and fingers.

Hell I have arthritis all over.

 

It's also in my foot and neck but, oh, well..... could be a lot worse

No new surgery for me it was my surgery back in 2010.
It took 2 years to get cleared for full activity like skiing etc.

 

I hope you feel better. Arthritis is painful!

Saw the pictures back along so I was imagining an issue.

 

Came home with neck and shoulder locked up from being up in a lavatory cabinet. Strapped on the 10s device and alls well now

Hello all, I work late one night and everyone wakes up!

 

Wasn't always that way. I wanted to try for an assignment in the late 80's after my first TDY here in 1988 when I was working for Air Rescue Service. She nix'd it back then. 13 yrs later the assignment opportunity was there and she agreed. Came here in 2001 and decided to stay. I retired from active duty in 2009. I'm in a DAF Civil Service job now. Alaska is very good to Vets. The only time she complains is when we travel to lower 48; airfare is pricey.

Love it up there. Spent three months up there one summer. 2 months on Kodiak, mostly in Uganik Bay working at a cannery. Then a month in Seward. Loved it. Couple weeks in Ketchikan was nice. But it was March. Freaking cold at times. Some day I'll get back there for a fly fishing trip for trout.

 

Haven't made it to Kodiak yet, it's on the list. I've spent a lot of time in Seward. Deck handed part time on a buddy's charter fishing boat Summer 2006. Winter's get a little long, but fishing and hunting in Summer make up for it. South Central is relatively temperate and tolerable. Don't think I'd want to live in the interior with their extremes. I've made a few trips southeast, very nice down that way too.

 

I love the shows about buying remote homes up there...off the grid and the views are amazing. Then you see the thick clouds of skeeters in the background .
