Ugh. Heat ,Fires.
It rained yesterday, but not enough to put down the fires. Been dealing with this since March. Tired of it.
Forest service decided to nurse a lightning strike as a controlled burn. Been breathing smoke ever since.
Now this.

I'm tired ... gonna grill a steak for supper and chill to some TV.
I'd guess we have somewhere between 20 and 30 lbs of salmon brining to smoke and can tomorrow.

As you all know in recent weeks I had a health issue that scared both Mike and I. I am happy to say I am on the mend and 90% back to normal. The reason for this note is to thank you all so very much for the outpouring of well wishes, prayers, emails,cards and gifts. I am humbled by your generosity to a total stranger. Each day when I got the mail there was a card or a gift to make me smile. I believe that I got such good news because of all your prayers and good thoughts. In a world where we all think everyone is selfish and self centered I am here to say there are very good people and you all are proof of that.
