A friend of mine just called me to let me know there's a growing wildfire on the other side of the mtns in Highland off of the 330 . it's burning out of control and heading up the canyon . I can see thick smoke to the south of me right now

Hopefully if he's near the fire he has evacuated already

The fire by me is 5% contained they claim, and we have nothing but hot and dry through the 4th. Today it was 96 degrees with 6% Humidity up there, tomorrow it is supposed to be 91 and Humidity is dropping. Gonna be windy again tomorrow.
So this one isn't going to be out anytime soon.
The agency that figures out how many acres has come out with an "unofficial" estimate of 10,000 acres. Basically they said when it is officially released it will be official. I guess Comey went to work for them after getting fired from FBI, this number was kinda a "leak". It was something like 1500 this morning, and 4400 at noon.

I know what her job was in the Air Force same as mine it might take her a few moments but she could probably tell you about half dozen metals just by the color and type of sparks that come off it when you hit it with a grinder lol

One lightening strike, no 2 i think, by me.
The one in Utah they said was caused by some dude burning weeds with a flame thrower.
    or something similar.
The one by me- A hole camper that thinks its cool to have a campfire during no burn conditions.
AZans are all extremely pissed about that. The guy better hope the authorities get him before the public does.

    Stay safe !!!

We're also going to be seeing mid/high 90's thru the 4th with single digit humidity along with red flag warnings up to 15-20 mph winds . After the 4th looking at another week of heat advisories to excessive heat warnings
