I don't even want to think about knee replacement. Last doc I went to(injected the knee) said after age 40 you should never kneel, cross your legs or do strenuous exercises on your knees . I think he is a bit of a quack but he did buy me some time with the shots. I will keep on living life and take with it what it deals out. So far no problems with kneeling, crossing my legs and moderate exercise.

Damn, that is fine workmanship Tim. The pens you make are works of art.

I have a brother in law who had a knee replacement done about 3 years ago. Claims it works as well as it did before. I think they've made some real advances in the past few years.

This wasnt a Shoulder replacent but a SLAP repair and both times it was a full circumference tear of the Glenoid Labrum . Each repair it took 9 suture anchors to repair the labrum

I am possibly looking at a full shoulder replacement in the near future as the bone has eroded away from way to many Cortisone injections . I've even had numerous Synvisc injections

I had a total knee replacent done on my R/knee back in Nov 2014 and since then have had 3 revisions done . last x rays , CT scan and Bone scans done 8 months ago now show the lower implant spike in the tibia is loose causing it to move
