I've been having issues with my r/knee since getting a knee replacement by the VA back in November 2014 . Also last month was my last day of PT for that knee and was in PT over 1.5 yrs and no improvement . My knee is still swollen and like I mentioned previously I'm only able to flex my knee to 80° ROM

Normal ROM for a healthy knee is 120° just for reference . I've had (3) revision surgeries on this knee either scar tissue removal or a manipulation . Every time I had one of these revisions I was able to flex to 120° but within a few months I lost that ROM

My buddy had a replacement a few years ago. He plays tennis and has no restrictions. Very sorry. I know this stuff works. I hope you get some resolution....

I've heard this kind of result with knee replacement before ... 1st time was a disaster basically, but 2nd replacement was golden. Susan may be right as well, can you request a 2nd opinion/referral?

Thoughts and prayers, brother. :fingerscrossed: &

Unfortunately that's not an option with the VA Healthcare system

This is why I went with private health care insurance even though I could get VA care. Not a LOT better, but options....

Back @ work this morning. Trick will be to keep my boss calmed down and make him realize I have restrictions. I FEEL good. No pain. Slept great last night. First time slept all night in bed since surgery. Victory!

Slow and steady. Tons of paperwork to catch up on. Here we go!

    I have been re-assured of what I already knew;

THIS PLACE CAN'T FUNCTION WITHOUT ME!

Now I just have to get a few people to ADMIT that.

Insanity the 8 days I was away. Took me less than an hour to resolve 95% of it.

SO glad some of these people get paid so much more than I do while I do their jobs.

    Oh well.

Glad to hear you had a good nights sleep Bill, sorry to hear you work in a typical disfunctional environment. You should buy a bunch or red staplers and hand them out.

If you don't get that reference, I have a movie for you to watch

    Same as everybody else...
Good evening everyone....a beautiful day here in Southern Maryland, 85 degrees and no rain. I took my bike out and did a 11 mile lap around the base, got home and finally finished up a little plumbing project that's been on my honey do list for awhile. All and all a great day, work tomorrow and then off for 5 days!
Blue I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better and back at work.
Marine, I'm sorry bout your knees, my son is also retired Marine. He was medically retired a few years ago after a particularly bad tour in AFG. He has had a lot of physical problems that the VA couldn't figure out so they spun him off to a civilian doctor at Duke. Maybe something you could look into...
I hope everyone has a great evening, take care and stay safe.

Evening all. Met with one of the kid's teachers today, looks good but he still has his May workbook and final to get through. So we won't know until Tuesday if he graduates Wednesday. Should make for a fun 3 day weekend.
