Driving was instilled very early; If you could Crank it, yes the L-handle through the front or get the 6 Volt to stay long enough as you pushed the foot pedal starter 3 speed on a tree was the bomb ...........And as I grew, my nemesis later in life ......DAM Chevy pick-ups

Luckily, my Dad kept his property long enough so that the 2nd and 3rd Generation of "Drivers" could grind gears and safely bounce off Pines & Oaks while earning their "wings"....Watching your kids learn to drive in the Same VW bug you adventured LIFE with leaves lasting laughs

Dam, I am Old BUT have enjoyed every minute of it

@ work. (Boo) @ work TOMORROW (Boo X 2) Since I can't do any lifting, I've got one of my crew here today and another one here tomorrow. So....If things stay quiet, I'm bouncin' outta here around noon. I may go hit a small 4wd park not far from here just to play around. Nothing special, and a zillion ATV's and side by sides, many with beer cans flying out the sides, but what the heck! There's a perimeter road around the property. It's wide and well graded. Boring if you're on a small ATV. Just the ticket for an old man on the mend who just wants to drive around in the woods! About 3 miles, then run it backwards for another 3.

This sounds like a plan! Just gotta go home and get the camera! (Batteries charged this time)

Yep, Bonnie definitely "ruining" my weekend, Oh, well.... such is life

But got some Simmy time yesterday he's turning into a real charmer. So cute!!!

for some sun tomorrow. None today Oh, well, guess I'll have to do inside stuff today- like some spring cleaning.

was at the beach years ago and was evacuated for hurricane bonnie now we've got tropical depression bonnie means a rainy drive the whole way oh well we'll be at the beach lots of fresh seafood

A little sore /stiff this morning

 

i was approached yesterday by a guy wanting me to come by the local legion and check it out. you know i've never really considered myself a veteran for me that honor is only fit for those who have seen combat. idk really why i get va bennies except i was in during the first libian conflict in the late 80's. my wife says i'm dumb

 

So I decided to clean up the truck bed before the TS arrives. Pulled out the bed mat and I was surprised how much crap was under there. Scrubbed the bed and lubed all the tailgate moving parts with WD. Finished up about an hour ago and now it's raining.

 

All that rain is going to move up the coast tonight. Looks like an all day washout tomorrow.
At least I fished yesterday and today, so all is good.
