Yes, my mom died at 45 of a heart attack. The cardiologist said genetics bit me in the ass.

As for as the best tire: There are exactly 13 best tires.

 

Thanks for all the well wishing. It has been almost a week. I feel great and have more entergy than I have had in years.

 

Wow. Came back to post a progress report, but it pales compared to a heart attack. Bender, best wishes for a full recovery. Sounds like you were in pretty good shape to begin with, which probably contributed to your survival and successful operation.

Anyway, it's been 3 weeks. I'm (mostly) up and about doing walks of 1.5-2.something miles a day. Generally off all the meds except an occasional Tylenol. Going back to work (desk job) next week. I hope I can keep up the fitness and weight loss routine. Tougher at our age than it was 20 years ago. Back then I could lose a few pounds by skipping a couple of beers. Now, I don't even drink beer and I gain weight.

Just spent the weekend doing the rock climbing thing. Actually I just Belay all the young ones. Still a lot of fun, we had close to 80 scouts and tons of food. A great night for a campout and then more climbing/repelling the next morning. I have been scoutmaster for 6 months now looks like we will have over 100 scouts in March!

oh wow, what a serious case of flashbacks that caused! Big collars and discos are both best remembered as history.

 

I remember the disco craze of the 70's. Pretty much of everything else is just a blur.

My HS senior picture was in a velour tux. Maroon. What was going on in the 70's?

 

Oh yea picture this, a pair of plad bellbottoms and a maroon crushed velvet jacket. Now thats looking like a real BO ZO and I was'nt even smokin.

Wow! Vaguely remember that. I do remember the local rock station, WBLM, always signing with, "We'd rather be dead than disco." BeeGees was banned from all play lists.
