Guessing that wouldn't work very well without the ATC.

Without the ATC I'd build a little shack for it to keep the rain out. Have considered that and did again today. But end up just throwing he cover on it and calling it close enough LOL. Yeah top vent needs a clear shot without air pressure from below so it would allow rain down inside if I opened it enough to do that.

I put an old metal tool shed on an old jet ski trailer for smokin. I know. It's redneck. But it works. For more ventilation I use this.....IMG_0320.jpg

Chillin' and hoping I shift into daywalker schedule easily for next week. We're heading north either Sunday or Monday to chase caribou ... opens on Tuesday. Our departure will be based on intel/updates on herd location we should get tonight.

How are ya'll Brother? No flooding I hope. Looks like it's not to you yet?

My BIL hasn't replied to my text query 20 mins ago...I'm waiting a bit before I check with rest of family on his status. Heard some cell coverage is out too, so that may be a factor.

It's slow moving our way which is bad. Not breaking up much which is good for us bad for others. The coast is flattened. Places where we all charter deep sea fish trips are all flattened, gone. Going to be awhile for them to rebuild.

:( Yep, I see the coast got slammed and now the flooding will get worse before better. Fickle Bitch is showing no mercy ... at least the death toll isn't high. Thoughts and prayers for all in the path there.

... tornado warnings in Houston area now.

    Well I feel better then!

Went to Costco and they only had 3 bellies left and none of them really hit my fancy. So went to my favorite butcher shop and got the biggest belly I have seen in years. 14.5 pounds

    15 pounds of bacon.jpg

They are normally $3.99 a pound there and Costco is $3.49 but don't mind supporting the small shops, especially when they carry what I like. But when he rang it up even he was stunned.

    15 pounds bacon sticker.jpg

It has gone up to $4.79 a pound. Said all meat has been skyrocketing lately. Afraid I may end up getting it at Costco now they are still $3.49 pound for pork bellies.

I'm out of Maple Sugar but have 3 pounds coming tomorrow from Amazon to start the cure. Used to get it from the local food Co-op but went there Friday night and they stopped carrying it because no one was buying it. Hard for the smaller places to compete even though I try to support the local smaller shops.
