    It's been an expensive season so far. But it finally made me prepare better. My new generator is at shop. 4 new Jerry cans. Now just need propane tank.

    Yea that's what I got a dual fuel. Work truck has a hoist to lower it out .
    Going to have transfer switch installed on barndominium and main house for just in case.

    Wells around here are over 400' deep. You could get a hand pump if you have shallow well.

    Leave those in pump house ,connect them all together and have a dc pump? Or set them up high so you can get a bucket under them.

    Here you can get 100 Lb bottles at Tractor Supply , if your plan is snatch that gennie from work perhaps get one tank and keep it at home? Then it doesn't matter what is in the work tank . Pick up the gennie and the work tank and what ever is in it is bonus :}

    Before you go digging it out you will have to find out how deep your well is , those hand pumps aren't good for much more then 30 foot wells. There are other options if it is deeper then that .
