Except for the local seeing you guys saying "...wow, look at those freaks. They aren't from here..." That state is (or was) pretty well defined. The military towns were pretty normal and the rest of it was just weird.

    Congrats!

    And congrats to you!

Going to get some ribs on the smoker today. The store had baby backs on sale for $1.99/lb (regularly $7.99/lb). I'll have to go to work and grab a few chunks of mesquite first though. I keep a small stash where I park my work truck.

I try not to keep too much here as it harbors scorpions and other little riff-raff, but I do have some bon fire wood I need to burn up too. I may throw some more over to my neighbor. They've got a really nice in-ground rock and tile fire pit.

Happy anniversary to all the anniversary folks.
I don't understand my wife. Wakes up and goes to the head. Comes back and wakes me up to tell me the pup is tearing up a napkin. What, you didn't do anything about it:notsure: No, its YOUR dog she says. O.K. I don't care about a napkin much, but then I hear the fight going on. So I go look. Pup is fighting with her shoe. O.K. Its time to feed the little monster. As I travel through the house, I see her shoes strewn all about. I haven't said anything. Waiting for her to wake up now. Its going to be a good show.

Though I do believe ketchup could be a companion, I don't think it should ever become a tax deduction no matter how dependant one becomes to it. It sounds more like a substance abuse issue...and a self abuse problem.

I understand. and to each their own. But, consider this, dogs are den animals and their kennel is their den (safe place). We give them the kennel command and they can't get their fast enough. Years ago the Rottweiler was left out and got into the chocolate covered coconut bonbons and got bloat that damn near killed her. We had to tube her about every 30min. We agreed from that point on kennels at night. Also if, god forbid, firemen have to clear your house they are far more likely to grab a kennel than a loose dog.

Consider this, dog is not much use locked up in a box if someone tries to break into my house while Im asleep.
Love my dogs, but they are my grunts. They are there to occupy and give their life if need be while I wake up enough to focus on the night sights.
