Good morning, hope it is a good day for you.

Exactly 3 days from now I should be on the road headed North to grouse hunt with the dogs for another week. Time to start packing and double checking my lists. Guess need to do this work thing first though. Work, that thing that always seems to interfere with life. At one time work used to be my life. That shit went by the wayside a few years ago part of the being in the 50's process I have read.

I get a lot of backflows at night that they can’t do during the day for that reason.

That was one of the big reasons I took the job in the hospital. Almost no O.T.

Well, I decided to get a late start today. I also decided to relax and drink a cup of coffee before heading to work. I have to load at a different place today, and last time I was there the guy decided to pacify the people who decided to make there homes next to a mine and turn the lights off at night. Not really a bright move IMO. If one of us gets hurt up there in the dark we will have a HUGE lawsuit because of the IMSHA violation. So Im waiting a bit to go load at daybreak. Should have a little bit shorter day, but should also be swapping out trucks after I deliver this first load. We will see how that works out. LOL. I doubt that will happen for another couple days. But we will see.
Cup o coffee is almost gone so I guess Ill start moving.

Good luck with the truck. When my father drove for a company the tractors were his biggest complaint. When he was supposed to get a new one it was the main topic of conversation for weeks in advance. Always promised a good one and sometimes it did happen, but not often.

I have a rule about going in late. You should then leave early. Only seems fair to me.

Awesome trip and congrats on checking off some more States! Great pictures too. But you went right by me and never let me know :pout:

Yeah a lot more in SD I hunt SD with at least 3 other Navy guys each year except this year, will miss it because of work. They are all retired Officers including a 2 star Admiral at first I wouldn't go because I told the Commander there was more damn brass in that farm house than the header of a main condenser on a birdfarm. But I finally did go and now hate to miss it. I'm just one of the guys now but when the Admiral yells run Mike run after a crippled pheasant that is too far away for him to get at I am all ass hole and elbows. But notice everyone else is too.

Where we hunt is on the SD\ND border and the second year I mentioned to John that I had never been to ND and it was the last of the 50 States that I haven't been in even though it is the next State over from Mn. That afternoon he said why don't you load up in my truck and he would drive me to some spots we haven't hunted yet. We did and it was a good hunt. Then right before dark he made a turn to the North and 15 minutes later I got out and took this picture.

It was kind of cool as I took the Coral Sea around the world in 83 with him. So was also sort of fitting to hit my 50th State with him.

I understand only too well and am also waiting anxiously for that final retirement myself. And looking forward to traveling without being in a hurry. When people find out I'm retired military I often get the how come your still working question. About the only thing I have come up with so far is to reply guess I'm retarded not retired.

In this part of the country, there are many of us retired and still working military so, I don't hear that question very often. But it'll be nice having that 2nd career to help keep me in bullets and beans when it's over.
