    I think average temps for October here are 90's. Wind will really kncoks the tops off the temps here for sure. Most times we don't hit the predicted high if the wind stays constant through the afternoon hours.

    Bacon ends are great. You can do a lot with them. We're not raising pigs this year, so next year I'm going to have them package up a few lbs of scrap fat just flavor or grease. This time I had it all put into ground. It's good but it would be nice to have some small fat scrap.

    I haven't been over there in a couple years now. Can't say I miss it much. A couple visits a year would be ok, but doing it all the time wears on you. 4 (and 10 month) years and I was more than ready to get out of there.
