    Morning all
Well it didn't involve goats or porn. But it did involve a certain Texas plumber.

Mule deer at the jay feeder a few moments ago.

I may do something productive today but then I may not. I've been putting off cutting down a Russian Olive in the back to make room for a beehive. Need to do it before the snow flies. This week for sure. Morning, all.

Except mule deer are nasty. The locals grind it up and mix it heavily with pork for sausage, where it then sits in their freezer for a couple of years before it ends up in a trash can. Now if I was back in Whitetail country....

True. The deer around here taste heavily of sagebrush so when I get local venison I usually put it in chili. I'd like to try one that's corn fed but that's illegal.

Yup, back in my younger days we used to call it trophy hunting vs. meat hunting. Trophys were back in the hills eating brush, branches and bark,,, tasted like, well, bad. When meat hunting, find some country that borders farm fields where they come out at night and graze on the farms, and those were as good as feedlot raised.
