    So at lunchtime I goes out to get something to eat. Go to start the truck and,.. nothing, no click just erie dead silence and squirrels chattering in the oak behind where I’ve parked.
    Oh poop :annoyed:

    So we try to jump it with a coworker’s vehicle. It’ll turn over but wouldn’t start.

    Oh poop :annoyed::annoyed:

    So I shoot a text to a guy named Jerry that hangs out in the PA thread he says check this and this and the other. I says ok I tried this, this & that, however the other is no bueno. He says “humm, I‘m buggin outa work here shortly I’ll stop by, shoot me your coords.

    Wahoo the cavalry is on the way!:goingcrazy:

    So Jerry has a jump box and we get the truck to start, he says “cool this is a good sign” I already had new battery lined up and he says let’s go get that joker.
    So we come back with the new battery and he helps me put it in. Back in business, I really like this Tacoma World family

    :cheers:

    Yep, it's a good bunch, there was one time, a few years back, a guy was stuck in the desert and we were fighting as to who was closer so we could help him out.

    Been to Eldora, took my dad to the Four Crown Nationals. It was the year Kyle Larson schooled everyone on Sat and won the features of all three classes.

    ...not sure if you can zoom in enough to read the list of drivers. Standouts are Sammy Swindell, Soldana and Johnny Herrera.

    I did put the silk long johns on this morning. Will be wearing them for more months than I care to admit now. If I am doing anything outside for more than a few minutes the woolies will go on over them. Lightweight, midweight and heavyweight depending on the temp. Hoping the heavyweight don't see much use but not holding my breathe.

    Those seats are killing my back just looking at them. I am fine moving or walking but the sitting in a chair is murder. Only thing worse would be that. Noticed in the early picture an older couple was sitting at the top with their backs against the wall. With age comes wisdom :) Couple of times a year we would go to Shangri-La in Owego to watch the Sprint Car races in the 70's.

    We have folding stadium chairs with thick seat pads we bought at office depot. We used blankets a couple times then up graded. The wall seats are good but people stand on the other side and I just don't cherish the thought of food or drinks being spilled on me.

    Tonight's first casualty. Lost the entire left front...hub and all.

    My wife said "screw it, he don't need that wheel anyway!".
