Unfortunately no napping for me. 60mg of prednisone just went down the pipe along with the rest of the meds. I'll be pissed off in a few minutes...

I've taken Prednisone several times with no ill effects, except for one time.

I was driving 320 miles out to Pa. for deer season and that shit got me wired for sound on the drive out.
Had the satellite radio in the truck and couldn't listen to a song for more than 30 seconds before getting impatient and switching stations. This went on for 7 hours, lol.

Good morning all! I hope you had a good Veterans Day yesterday! I see some did some did not so much. I spent my day here helping insulate a garage. That's a dusty job blowing insulation but we had fun.

I've got 899 calendar days till I plan to leave. Not that I'm counting, but this works out to be:
    448 work days
    48 days vacation
    400 days actually scheduled

    Or:
    5376 hours scheduled
    560 vacation hours
    4810 actually scheduled hours

Now if i take any vacation in 2020 the hours could be reduced another 280 hours giving me only 4530 or 378 remaining scheduled hours to work. But with all the overtime I've been having to work the REAL time is higher. I guess I could comp some of the OT to have fewer hours and days remaining.

I get 10 "sick days", so I'll be sick for 10 days in my final year.

A friend retired from my place last year and took his 6 weeks vac/personal days and 9 sick days.
It crushed him after he found out he had an additional sick day left in the bank, lol.

    Morning all
No leaves yet, thankfully. Still enjoying the fall weather 75°and sunny. No rain yet. I have to clean and fix the crappy gutters before the rain hits, work on the truck a bit, quiet day.

But then again, my wife is still asleep.

You have a date? Jeez. I just have a general idea. I figure in about 10 to 12 years Ill be tired of it all and will just go fishing instead..................
That means sometime around 2027 to 2030? Wait, is that right? Jeez. Now I'm depressed.
Also, I guess that means Ill be the only one left in the 50 thread............... All the Korean war vets around here will be gone by then................................... :D :anonymous:

I'm pulling the plug in 8 years but I'll probably work seasonally or contract. I'm hoping my property watching gig takes off so we'll see.

We get to bank all our sick hours and cash them out at retirement. We can only carry so many vacation hours from year to year and usually have "use or lose" and not sure if we can cash out on the final date or not.
