    Back when I lived in VA we got the surplus stuff thru Rose's Department Stores. Sooo much cosmoline. They take a bunch a and cut down the stocks in hopes of making them look less military.

    It builds enough pressure that the primer gets a hole blown in it, sometimes bits of the primer end up jamming up around the firing pin and can bugger up the hole in the breach. Also because the pressure is going the wrong direction it can turn into a squib.

    Striker fire guns don’t usually have that issue.

    That’s an Smith Alexander main spring magwell combination. I got the blank version and checked it to match the front. The beaver tail is also SA, I did the blending and file work. The grips are VZ as well.

    Right now in Waimanalo its 71° cloudy skies , light trade winds and the windows are open with the ceiling fans on . have had a few rain showers pass by some heavy but even with the windows open awesome sleeping weather

    Right now the current time here is 0922 hrs and later on headed to Hawaii Kai for Breakfast then maybe to the North Shore for lunch
