    Got a chance to try out the amp I built. Was not good. Strumming the strings would make the led blink and sound horrible. Double checked mounting and isolation. All good. Tried another guitar. Same thing.
    Noticed the higher I turned it up the dimmer the led got. MMMMMMMMMMM. Tried another NEW battery.
    BINGO. A brand new 9volt crap battery.
    Turned the pot gain all the way up. Sounds pretty good for a little speaker and has a little overdrive distortion after 85% volume. Good enough to practice by myself with no power available. Easiely portable.

    When I get blamed I tell them to do it themselves. But they have to do it right..

    Typical staff meeting;

    "Joe, why isn't your job done"?

    "I don't know why, I passed it off on Bill and he didn't do my job for me".

    "Bill, why didn't you do your job AND Joe's? There's just no excuse".

    And so it goes.........

    My group of 12 all have around 30 years doing the same job. Most of them will kick a problem down the road, then I get to it and actually fix the issue and I take a hit on hours and parts. Thankfully we have a manager that sees what is happening and dosen't get on my case.

    I fix big machines. The company monitors the webs so I would rather not go into details. Ask again in 10 years, when I retire. :D
