It is Tim been a long time since I've been to KTP which is how many refer to it. But picked up a hard to find Ithaca 37 matte finished shotgun barrel about a year ago on their online website at about half the price any once would have asked for it.

Wife wants to watch Christmas movies tonight. They are all the same. Starts out good and happy. Next something bad happens. Then on Christmas eve everything is fixed.
If I'm lucky I will fall asleep

So the problem I have with the vortex this time of year is that the wings drop a lot of grease, and I mean a lot. Which normally isn't a problem but when it is cold like this it hardens up so bad can't even turn the one touch lever. Tried aluminum foil warp with no joy ended up with a huge class B fire and burnt wings. So going to try the Jumbo Joe with grillgrates tonight. And wait for it.... Injecting the hot sauce inside of the wings. Hmmm it should work. Or maybe not LOL. Worth a try I think.

Hmm, a hot sauce with a vinegar base might have an interesting tenderizing effect. Those grillgrates ain't cheap.

Ok for all you wannabe Chefs and @Cold Iron ,

I am going to make next weeks breakfast taco filling this evening so I can spend the day in the shop tomorrow while waiting for the eldest / grandbaby etc .
The question I had 2 steaks out for lunch / dinner Friday but since I got to spend 8 more hours of quality time it did not happen. I made them tonight for dinner but only ate one . I am doing a roast tomorrow so there will be left overs from it . In order not to have the steak and the roast as left overs I am considering fine slice/ dice on the steak and add it to my breakfast taco mix. You all have seen the pictures 1 lb bacon, 2 cups hickory ham, new potatoes , mushrooms, eggs, taco cheese, and some spices. Think the steak will get messed up when being reheated in the mix in the microwave in the mornings?

When we us the microwave to reheat meat we use the defrost settings. It takes a bit longer, but it comes out tender and juicy.

Me and microwaves are not the best of friends just warm stuff up . But never have any luck with warming beef up in it . Hoping as it is mixed with everything else it might not turn into a rock chip :{. I mix everything up after cooking the bacon, ham, potatoes and such by themselves it all goes in a big pan with the eggs to cook the eggs. I have tried cooking the eggs first and it never mixes right, keeping things separate takes for ever to make the breakfast taco in the morning . I have tired pre making the breakfast tacos but by day 3 the tacos get soggy . :[

Wife hates it when she puts on the Hallmark channel to watch a sappy movie and I chime in with the plot. They're all the same...

I want to say thank you to all the good folks on this thread. You have given me laughs, tears and everything in between for the last couple of years since I found you. Know it or not you have been a comfort and inspiration. It has been leveling for me to see that even in my solitude I am not the only one who experiences what we deal with. So many of you have shown me the better parts of life, grumpy or not.

    Thank you. The lurker.

Well the wife pulled out the instantpot and its chicken tortilla soup tonight. So very good on a cool damp night. And a cold cerveza doesn’t hurt either.
