I am done! Had a pretty decent sized plate for dinner and a big slice of apple pie afterward. I just got finished carving the remaining turkey and sliced up the rest of the roast...while finishing off the last 3 deviled eggs...done, finished, kaput.

Great day! ... it don’t get any better.

Plenty of presents...No carnage to photograph, Kristi kept the wrapping paper picked up as fast as it hit the floor, she’s big on making sure it goes to recycling.

Dinner was wonderful, prime rib, baby taters cooked in olive oil, asparagus cooked with some bacon, green beans with mushrooms. Chocolate chip cookies (made by grandkids with grandma earlier) with ice cream for desert.

Board games and video games were played; several lego sets were assembled.

I got a new coffee cup which surprisingly I really like and will make my new work cup. My son picked it out because it reminded him of our old enamelware camping cups from when we did scouts together, but it’s actually ceramic.

Must be dust in my eye ;)

I need to check, but I’ll bet there’s a 25 year old picture like this somewhere...only both the TV and they were much smaller.

My oldest son and I are working our way through a fifth of the vanilla flavored version this week. I don’t drink on a regular basis, but he introduced me to the vanilla flavored CR at his younger brother’s wedding in FL this past May. With rootbeer it tastes like a rootbeer float.

And for the record, I have a pair of Crocs for around the house and a second pair for at the river because they are easy on and off when getting into/out of waders.

    ... and I don’t care who knows it. :D
