They already are for me charging me employeee cost. I don't have a way to jack up a little car anymore to service it so I took it there. Thy're a good group and treat me good everytime i go in there.
while I appreciate everybodies kind words I didn't post this for y'all to think I'm nice or anything I just kinda want to bounce this siuation of you guys to see how far to take this. I want her to have something safe but I'm not rich either. I reckon I'll just have to wait and see what Toyota tells me after they work on it.

Her bosses said they'd pitch in if I find any real concerns I can't handle but I don't really want to bother thm or the family as I have a feeling she'll need help with funeral exspenses. This has to be crushing her and her family

As far as you are comfortable in going , brakes yeah if need maybe cv's but anything heavy trans, motor , brain box etc I would have to tell her this is what I could do sorry about the rest but at least she would know there were issues so not to push the car.

I appreciate that and it would have been kinda fun selfishly. If I know the Toyota guys they'll keep the cost down to ty and help me. I just appreciate their willingness to jump on it and help me out but that's how they are

Don't sweat the other stuff. Take the bosses up on their offer. Show them what the cost is, what you've taken care of and what's needed. I'm sure they are well aware of the other things and those will work themselves out.

i hope so they have been pretty good to her so far. She has no leave as she's had her own health issues and they are covering her leave. I think this lady only makes like 25 a year so much of anything on her is a huge drain

Her situation is what all the state and county aid programs are there to help with. Though he wasn't very old, SSI will kick in some for the child since she's now the provider. But they all mostly help with just the basic needs (food, low cost housing, etc.). If the car is somewhat sound, and she can get past winter with it, she may find other means.

The child's mother is still somewhat in the picture I didn't ask particulars as it wasn't my main concern, I'm sorry if that sounds smart assed I've just focused on the lady and not all the other stuff. This is a law firm she works for so I'm hoping thay'll be on top of what she needs to do to get some help. All I really know is her son lived with her and helped support the house hold also plus taking care of her car and now he's gone

Perhaps get the wife on calling around to heating places to get her heat fixed and put off the bill for a while after she explains what happened? It is not good for the house , water pipes etc to be that cold for that long . Perhaps they will understand and do something , you wife can wrangle you so she should be able to wrangle a heating company :} .

I've only owned one Optima wasn't overly impressed, especially considering the price. I don't think any of them are worth a hill of beans. Seven years is avg battery life up here.
