-15 real feel -33. For some reason thought it was going to be warmer this morning. Must be tomorrow. Going out to eat with both the sons today. Not going to grill outside. Both Mn. and Iowa eased up on propane transportation restrictions yesterday due to the cold.

Winds were blowing yesterday. Cedar has to be high. It was all wet with drizzle crap so don’t know how it still blows around. Yea I’m even letting faucet inside on hot side so pipes in slab don’t freeze

Started breaking in my new boots yesterday that have goretex. I put 2 layers of wax on them. My calf muscles are sore this am. That’s a good boot. Feet are fine.

 

Breaking in boots are a pita.

 

I did also but I’ll be counting dead chickens after this freeze. My coup doesn’t have electricity.

 

With my feet and work I still haven’t found a better made boot than the Lowa. I’ve gone thru about every style and brand over the years.

I made a extension cord/outlets/dimmer/extension lamp assembly for a coworkers coop.
Heats the coop house.
I’m so smart... lol

 

Bought it years ago, don’t remember what we spent but $40-50 seems to come to mind. Outdoor unit eats two AAA batteries about every 6-8 weeks.

 

I’d need about 300’ Of cord
