I had the most problems with uponor pex yesterday on slab leak. Kept having leaks. What I didn’t know was I was dealing with 120 psi water pressure. Going this am to install prv.

I believe it’s rated for 160psi. I was giving normal time to draw back down on fittings. At last I gave it 10 minutes before water and was good that’s when I checked water psi. If you use crimp fittings you don’t have to wait,I use expanded pipe (uponor) . Prv is a pressure reducing valve. If they had 120 in day it’ll be higher at night.

We've gotten in the habit of checking water pressure in several locations. Our water system should be really easy since it's gravity (and mostly is) but some of the stuff from the past is pretty hokey. Pressure relief valves on the up lines, old check valves going bad, deadend lines where there shouldn't be anything....fun stuff.

Good morning folks. Hanging at the office today. Going to put a 100 gallon fuel transfer tank in the other truck today. He doesn't need one all the time, but when he does he does. So we'll get that straightened out.

The clouds are building here pretty decently and the air feels damp. Winds are supposed to kick off about 0900. So a day in the shop won't be so bad.

    Morning all
Big squall hitting right now, haven't heard it rain this hard in a long time. I installed a 4" drain pipe last summer, still too dark to see how it is doing.
    Thanks Ken, that was interesting.

Morning Doug, we got about 3 1/2 to 4 inches (drifted in spots from the wind) Had freezing rain yesterday afternoon into the evening. Went out the front door and damn near fell on my ass:eek:, neighbors probably thought I was practicing figure skating for the Olympics :D. It just hit 40 here and with the sun shining it is a nice day for a change. Have a good day sir.
