I looked after that last post and it looks like we have a good chance in a little while. It's coming straight up 85 from Atlanta if it don't rain out.

I have heard that the VA was getting better, sure doesn't sound like it and sorry to hear you have to endure this. It is so wrong on so many fronts Grhhh.... Active duty wasn't a lot better either. I ended up working at the #1 medical hospital in the US after retiring from the Navy so am spoiled, if you haven't been seen in 20 minutes you are supposed to go up front and let them know. There is NO excuse for you having to wait that long. Good luck with the MOVE program!

Marty that looks like a lot of work and a great job. And that building should be able to handle a pretty heavy snow load. Erhhh never mind on the snow load ;)

Tim sorry to hear about your dog, my oldest boy is on 2 pain meds and I cook rice, rinsed ground beef, and mixed veggies for him. The old guy eats better than I do sometimes LOL. But it is worth it he will not be around much longer. Then again I sometimes wonder if he isn't a cat and has 9 lives, not going to give up on him yet.

So soupy here it reminds me of Orlando and walking across the grinder at 6 AM and having the starch run out of your whites. Supposed to blow up around 9 tonight should be a pretty good storm. Just hoping don't get large hail and dents in the truck.

When I moved to Asheville, NC the first snow storm I was out there shoveling right away. A couple of neighbors came out and watched me and finally Paul who lived on the uphill side of me asked Mike what are you doing?! I said getting the snow off the driveway so it doesn't ice over. He said why don't you wait until the sun comes out and melts it like the rest of us, you're making us look bad....

It is those 52" deep footers from frost heave up here that are the real pain in the arse. But there is nothing like driving over fresh fallen snow while grouse hunting with the dogs!

Still need to buff out nature's pinstriping.

I think a small carport would be a good idea Chris. Are you far enough away from the property line?

probaly not. i have to share the beginning part of the driveway with my neighbor on that side he and i get along really well i'd just have to get him to sign a waver if i permitted it i don't want to build anything fancy or something that would detract from the appearance of the front of the house my thinking is it'll blend in with the woods. alot has changed since i took that pic that whole area has been cleaned out and the trees pruned

Well...I guess it's time for me to throw my hat in with you guys. I'll be 60 in October, but didn't really feel like it until last week. Fifteen years ago I spent a couple of hours up in the Bristlecone Pine forest in the White Mountains above Owens Valley, at an elevation of over 11K feet. Lugged 40lbs of large format camera gear all over the place no sweat. Last Thursday I was up there again, and just getting out of the truck to take a leak had me sucking air. My entire camera rig now weighs 5.1lbs, and I stayed within 150 yards of the truck. Am I in the right place?

    IT HAS POWER.

Gohan is alive. Wired up the main system and my practice amp came to life. Volume and tone and pickup switch as designed.
Still have to install the string ground.

    WP_20160711_001.jpg

String ground mocked in. Drill 3 holes and attach the wire to the ground system and wiring done.
Start on the Gohan plate tomorrow. Getting close...

Yeah Jim I think often of you often when it is hot like this. Sometimes it must be great in your "office" in the winter, other times not so much. Stay cool and safe! I've had 6 heat strokes and passed out ~20 times of heat exhaustion it is no fun. Please be careful down there. Only 2.5 months until bird season opens here and 3 months until the snow flies. Not anxious to blow and shovel snow but already had enough heat thank you very much.

Chris I agree but don't have to work in it just remove it which can take half a day sometimes. And even though I live in the heart of the largest rack bucks in the world don't deer hunt anymore. Ya got to drag the Son Of a Beaches out of the woods then process them. Funny used to live for deer opener and had a 60 yard archery range along the house when I first moved here. Now I can sit on the deck and watch 140+ class bucks walk by in the fall from the deck and drink coffee and read the paper. But the desire to grab the bow sometimes is strong, very strong.
