No worries.... :stirthepot:  o_O  :D Love your pups. Miss my Shadow - she was a 95 pound sweet heart.

Don't care, since they don't see the results?

OMG.... listening to the neighbors complain about their electric bills for the last month  what do you expect when you keep your house set @ 73* when it below freezing, into the teens @ night and not even over 45* during the day????

No they want to sell the pups , generally if a dog is a little weak on drives Hunt, Fight, Prey, Food they will work the pups up to get them to pass most pre K-9 tests. Generally speaking an import of really good quality starts around 2500 and goes up from there. So .. as with all things money drives them to do what they have to get the most for the pups.

    Well snow blower fixed.
Loose lock nut on drive engagement cable let cable get to much slack. Since the pulley pivots, extra slack bends the drive pully out of alignment. So the belt walked off the pulley. Also added some baby powder to the belts.
    Should be ok.
So I pulled mine apart and had same situation possible. So I adjusted the cables.
    Bring it back tomorrow......

A high drive pup needs to work and be controlled or you will have a destructive pup , just have to be careful not to push to much till growth plates are set generally about 18 months . Your pup looks like Ben long coat or plush coat depends on who you ask . I have seen a true long coat and yeah umm no thanks think Afghan hound lol

I understand that, but they aren't in it for the long haul for the pups... once they pass, they are on to the next one. Don't care about the longevity of their life or career.

Correct cause you can't prove what caused the issue with out spending a ton of money, and they are aware most agencies will not spend the money to find out and then can any breeders shall we call it cheating.

One thing I want to ask = are the parents checked for the usual things before being bred? Are they from good blood lines? Where do they get their breeding stock from?

Depends on the breeder , if they are reputable yes they will have had genetic tests , xrays of elbows, spine, hips and the hips rated and conform to the breed standard though in GSD' s Americans want the big ones large boned loose jointed and to be honest not good for K-9 work in general. The GSD standards as defined by Max von Stephanitz are what is wanted for k-9 work median sized 70 to 85 lbs compact agile and not the roach back you see in a lot of them . Once the dogs are vetted medically and their lines are vetted IE checked for trainability etc . Then they are bred it is the best you can do but both here and over seas as with anything else there are unscrupulous people.

Inch of nuisance snow this morning so spent an hour and a half shoveling. Not enough for the blower and need to go to the store and hate to drive on it. Makes ice out of it. Just finished and it is snowing again. Now the radar and forecast is showing snow for the next 4 hours. Plow hasn't come by yet either. Think I will stop and get something to drink while I'm out too at this rate. Up to 29° been awhile since pushing freezing mark. Back below zero tonight. Think will grill tonight and instant pot tomorrow.
