    Good Evening everyone !!

Wow what a freakin day I had !! , had a friend of mine who owns a mobile auto repair business who I let do the front brakes on my truck . Well as I was watching him work on it I noticed some strange things being done

R/front wheel he separates the caliper into two pieces to remove brake pad pucks . Doing that emptied the master cylinder as brake fluid poured over the ground . Then couldn't find the seals to put the caliper back together plus took a few min.to put the brake Assy all back together

L/front wheel he figured out how to remove pucks without separating the caliper but again took some time installing the hardware and finishing that side

I ask him since the master cylinder is bone dry don't we need to bleed them , his reply no because we never touch the brake pedal . So he adds fluid then asks me to pump the pedal a couple times with the engine off then start it up put into gear the hit the brakes hard

The pedal felt nice with the engine off but once it started the pedal almost sunk to the floor . I ask him again if it needs to be bled again he says nope . I told him the pedal is spongy and his reply is it will get better after driving to seat the pucks

A couple hours again I limped my truck down to Discount Tire to have them inspect it and I get a bill for $150 for brake fluid flush and adjust brakes plus R&R r/ front caliper . Found the brake lines filled with air and a damaged caliper

I'm so pissed right now because of the brake job was done unproffessionally and paying him $45 , so total money spent was $195

Let's just say I'm not happy at all !!!

Also at Discount Tire ,the mechanics working on my truck looked like they wiped their greasy paw prints all over the fenders , grill drivers door and interior

I walked outside to get in my truck and all I saw was grease smeared all over .walked back inside and politely asked the manager to get his mechanics to clean my truck

Still no power at my house from yesterdays storm. :annoyed:. Thankfully it's not brutally hot. Worst part is the beer is no longer cold. Off to get more ice.

I'm also pissed at the mechanics @ Discount Tire as they're sloppy and made a greasy mess out of my truck . Even had a mechanic from there call me to ask if I found his tools he left on my battery

you know people knock on the dealerships all the time. i get good prices on parts. the service department treats me great i've even developed friendships there with my writer and the service manager because hell i'm in there all the time, i send in customers, and i appreciate their service. the service tech that always works on my vehicles is young but really sharp. i've put 200k on my scion and i've never changed my oil they do it every time crap they only charge me like $12 more than if i bought the materials myself. i don't care for the sales department they're a necessary evil there's a couple of the maagers that see me and turn the other way. they really pissed me off there last november oh well i go back for the service
