Losses from my refrigerator/freezer after hurricane Sandy outage was covered by my Homeowners insurance. I didn't even know this. I was calling about some minor damage to the house by wind and a downed tree and they asked me about the contents of my freezer/fridge and compensated me.

Finally got the oil changed after a few attempts with my cranky back. I usually change it myself at about the 4500-5k mark with QSUD but went with M1 High Mileage this time. My Pops beat the 3month or 3k miles between oil changes into my head as a kid, after much therapy I'm getting closer to the 5 /5k interval. Whenever I hear someone talk about extended miles between oil changes I begin to break out in a cold sweat.

i like to do my own services but also have a problemed back check with the dealership and see what they charge when i compared it to what the materials would cost i'd only save like $12 so i let them do it

    :woot: Great Job brother!

I grew up in VA. I remember my Dad telling the story of a business trip to Miami, Fl. He goes into a gas station to ask for directions, guy behind the counter gives him the old "no speak Ingles" line, my Dad replies "hell man, me either, I speak southern," ... guy replies "OK man, where you wanna go?"

I usually have the dealership change the oil once a year, typically in the winter. I have a pretty good setup at my house to do oil changes, usually I park the truck so that it straddles the ditch at the front of my property. I get plenty of room to work under the truck by laying in the ditch and with the Fumoto valve it's pretty easy. Parking my truck like that bugs the bell out of my neighbor, whose an a hole anyway, so it's win-win for me.
