    I think you'll find a lot of recipes will have the same major dry ingredients with varying amounts to get a different varient on taste. Wet recipes can vary a lot. One of my old go-to wet recipes is Italian dressing.

    When I make jerky in the electric smoker, it's a 3 day/stage operation.
    1 day for soaking in brine
    1 day for air dry on the rack to get the "glaze"
    1 day for smoking/drying.

    I have a 12 rack dehydrator, but have not made jerky in it .
