Was supposed to break 50 tomorrow. Now high of 39. They pulled the same thing last weekend. Keep moving that carrot now Sunday 51. We will see going to be more than 6 months without breaking 50° at this rate.

Not going to complain yet though. At least we haven't had a dump of a foot of snow in almost 2 weeks but not going to poke that sleeping bear.

And the sun is out, in the 30's and no wind was just out on the deck without a jacket on enjoying the sun for a bit. Airlift Wing in the Cities must be doing touch and go at the local airport with the C130's

    c130.jpg

And no snow on the trees, at least the hardwoods. It isn't so bad. Smoker gets fired up on Sunday don't care if it breaks 50 finally or not. Yes I do.

Hopefully this is the last Winter Storm and after this temps start warming up

Congrats on the 50 yr Milestone !!!!

Very Windy and cold here , Winds currently are gusting to 25mph here and it is 48°

    Good Morning Everyone !!!

Currently at 1032hrs and at my AO it's 48° , Cloudy skies ,winds gusting to 25mph and high temp expected to reach 54° today . The clouds are stacked up on the South side of the Mtn ranges /CajonPass area and they look nasty

Here around town isn't too bad right now since it's wider and flatter. Out where I work it whips up pretty good going through the narrower passes/washes and.over the tops of the hills. It can be 10-20 mph faster winds than here. We still have spring to get through yet. Nothing big expected just a few short term localized events that can create some damage...then it just gets hot.

We get the bigger dust storms with the big events. Typically a front comes through with a bunch of strong winds. That's usually followed by rain and the gully washers. But we do get those with little rain and it just smears all the dust and sand. That's when owning a carwash would be a good thing. Grit gets into everything.

since being here since last year my truck is showing signs of these strong winds up here . My windshield is pitted and needs replacing and my engine is extremely dirty from all the dust and sand blowing around . The end of the month I'm having a detail shop detail the engine compartment and make it look clean again

I'm also going to change my K&N filter with my spare clean one and this time use the K&N filter sock this time

I think we have it better than the snow country folks where salt is used on the roads, but the sand and sun take more than their toll on paint jobs and trying to keep a rig clean. I spray my truck off accordingly (as well as the engine/compartment) and keep the interior clean. But I'll usually go a few months with my truck getting wet.

    Yeup.
Then you walk out and the engine is clanging like hell cause you have no oil pressure which you could have known within 5 seconds of starting but you were to LAZY to get your butt out of the rocker and start it and do a walk around for problems.
