Looks like the those pesky tree limbs are under control and you have plenty of seed for a rock garden.

I quit going to NHRA when they went to 1000 feet. They are closing the track (Raceway Park) that was the impetus for the change, and should go back to 1/4 mile...

I was going to only do an hour or so at work but a friend I work with on the "fire" side of the house wants me to go help him do a recon for info for his fire burn plans....mostly piles we built this year. So we'll go do that. It has to be done and today is a good day for that and I need thise burned off to make room for more piles.

    Funny moment this morning...

We’ve lived in this house for exactly one week. Checking out at the vet, the gal behind the desk says “you’re new. I’ve recognize your truck.” Dafuq? 20,000 people in this area and you recognize my truck after living here only a week?? Did I mention, I like my truck? :mudding:

Someone put a bug I my ear recently and I'm going to upload some small 30 sec race clips of the cars I thrash on.
There are a couple of in cars if I can find them
Some date back like 13 years so vids are not quality but you will see racing is racing no matter what comes out of the pits..

Have you been through Mesquite, NV? Just curious as it's on my list of places to check out for potential retirement. Really like some of the tax benefits of the state. Allays like to hear others opinions.

that sucks Mike , it's already a few weeks into Spring time and there shouldn't be any more cold temps and snow . I hope soon you'll be able to enjoy warmer temps and a green lawn

    Hey Rob !!!!:hattip:

did you know LVMS is now a 4 wide Dragstrip , should be fun to watch

that sucks Andy that you lost the tree to all that construction going on , any plans on a new tree ???

The Fuel cars are just to fast for the 1/4 mile plus the shutdown areas on most tracks are unsafe for these cars to safely slow down . If they the team's and NHRA can work it out they'll need to go back to a single fuel pump , smaller blower ,smaller displacement and taller gear . Doing these will slow them down

They're already faster in the 1k ft in both ET and mph than when they ran the quarter

Have you seen the speeds the cars are running in the 1/8th mile now especially the radial small tire door cars ?? . How about 3.62 @ 225mph !!! . This the style drag racing I like !!!!

Well you didn't ask me, but... if you like desert and the water holds out and the A.C. is working, it isn't a bad place. Just over the Az line not far from Vegas. For me, the heat would get old. That's why Oregon looks the same for the opposite reason, too much water. I am thinking that splitting my time between 2 places would be better.

But even that would get old.

    And so am I.

OK, didn't realize you travel east of the CA border. Just looking at the post card version it looked like they were really trying to sell it as a retirement area. And I like the close proximity to all the Nation Parks of Utah and Arizona. One of my other areas of interest is Star Valley, WY.
