We have 36 Carrier water source heat pumps serving as heat AND air conditioning in our main clubhouse building. They provide heat and cooling via mechanical transfer to/from 72 degree water. The transfer is done via a compressor, evaporator and condenser coils, filled with a freon based refrigerant. Switching from heat mode to cool mode is done via a mechanical "reversing valve which reverses the flow of gas through the system. The water temp raises as it pass' through the units in ac mode, and lowers the water temp in heat mode. We have a low temp boiler to re-heat water in the winter and an outdoor cooling tower to cool water in summer months. The water is divided into an internal loop, and an external loop, with temperature transfer taking place in a large heat exchanger. Internal loop temp can rise to around 80 or drop to around 65 and still function. Beyond those temps, we have issues. Four 15hp pumps move the water along. Individual controls at each heat pump throttle the water flow up or down as needed to maintain proper flow rate and temp at each unit. It's really an efficient system in ambient out door air temps between 0 degrees (F) and 90 degrees (F) above or below that, it struggles to keep up. All together, there is over 2-1/2 miles of process piping, and with surge tanks, cooling tower, boiler, coils and piping, over 9,500 gallons of treated water internally, and just over 7,500 gallons in the external loop.

My staff includes 2 trained HVAC techs, not to mention my training in the field.

Good afternoon! I got out early to cut grass hoping a little dew would be on the ground. Must have been a little moisture because I only had a little dust. Whew!

I occasionally notice this with my 07 regular 2.7L. I think it's called lazy kick down.

My wife said he's hot.

It's just when you try to accelerate, but the engine bogs before downshifting. I had done some some research but I can't remember finding anything useful. I got a tune up and had the transmission serviced, but I still have it now and then. It's just not as bad or often.

That's what I'm experiencing with my 02 double cab ,sometimes it's not noticeable and other times it's constant

Do you have any opinions of which is better between a split system and the packed systems for residential? I have a split system now.

I left them the work order from Goodyear That did the 60k service , this showed what was replaced or repaired . This way Toyota won't be replacing parts that are new

The service writer said it may take a few days to diagnose and this leaves me without transportation to get around which sucks . They did mention they're going to try and see if it's covered under warranty but the age of the truck may hinder that . They're going to call corporate and find out because of the low mileage of 56k

The only thing a package system offers IMHO is space savings. Split systems are far more energy efficient. I'm far more familiar with split systems. Package units are more commonly found in apartments and motels in this part of the country.

Thanks! I didn't know if they had any worthwhile advantages. Doesn't sound like it. I was thinking that I would be sticking with the split anyway. My air handler is under the house but I have good clearance on that end. So the R&R shouldn't be too bad.
