I grew up around slow cooked beans and stews on the stove or wood fire, pressure cooked beans and the like and the crock pot slow cooker we have now. So for you folks with the instant pots, how would you compare the outcome to the slow cooker (either stove/wood/crock). To me the difference in slow cook is more the location but the result is much better than the pressure cooker. I'm more apt to do wood fire while camping and the crock at home.

This is the last year we had the home place in Highland Co.Some doc from city bought it.I told the boys to knock em down. my dad is 85 doesnt hunt anymore but we keep him in camp. its about family. and he is proud of them grandsons. and yea thats a scrub but new land owner said no hunting.built his house rite up on the mountain.about 3 years ago

The problem IMHO. is the time.
Plain and simple. My father made a overnight simmer spaghetti sauce that I would put up against anyone. But in modern times the free time just isn’t there and the time that is free is trying to make up for the lack of time. Slow simmer beans.. hell yea.

 

Yeah, I was baiting a little...

 

My buddy is having a trans am built from the ground up the way he had his back in college.
Should be here by the summer/fall timeframe.
