i was. i had to take the daughters prius to toyota for a service, which was all fine. while there i recieved a text from my boss saying it's august 1st was i coming back? i told him i have a dr appointment next monday and would let him know i'm having trouble getting the strength back in that arm. i immediately felt nauseated at just the thought of having to get up at 3:30 now will be 5 days a week, driving over and hour, and having to be at a place i can't stand with people i don't like doing a job i don't like anymore. i know i'm whining i should just be thankful to have a job i guess

Good morning, been up since 4:30 here thanks to the dogs but was in bed by 9:30 so no biggie. Started throwing the balls and frisbees soon after that LOL they didn't need to go but wanted to play. Normally Mondays aren't a downer for me, love the whole weekend concept after so many years of working "only" 12 hours a day for holiday routine on Sundays on ships underway. Today seems to be taking my mind a while to get into the work game first of the month reports and all that good stuff. Was starting to feel the Monday blues until I read the post by Chris. It isn't so bad here in perspective. Hope everyone has a great day and start to August.

i didn't mean to whine. i don't mind at all the idea of going back to work. i just can't stand that place. i've wanted to leave since 2 weeks after i started but have always forced myself to be responsible and do what i needed to do. i'm looking at other jobs but starting over may not be the best option right now. i need to just suck it up at least until the house is paid for. 1 of the reasons i've actually considered selling the house and moving is to force myself to quit and start over as stupid as that may sound.

no thank you it's the support and friendship of all on this thread that has helped me get through this recovery period. my health issues while they seem dire to me are , i understand, trivial compared to others. we've got quite a bit going on with our kids rt now that's added stress and i just don't need this looming over my head also, however, it is inevitable. if i had a good supportive place to return to it'd be different

Good Morning and / or Afternoon cooler weather today but another chance of afternoon and evening t storms . Not much going on today just a continuation of the Field day I started yesterday afternoon

    Chris ..

I remember having to go back to work after I tore my rotator cuff the first time . I was not working for 4 months and when the day came to get back to work it was very tough

My Dad wasn't the warmest of parents, but he did teach me that, with work, you should 'Love what you do and do what you love' life is short and work is a big part of it, he was a journalism major and was a banker for most of his life, he was unhappy and it showed in his demeanor. Now am I telling you to quit? No, but look at what you enjoy doing and see if there is a better way.
Maybe polishing car engines? You seem to like that :D
    Was it a spicy boy?
