It was a pretty good weekend. Now waiting for wife to wake up so we can check out of hotel.
Have breakfast at the truck stop, put some gas in Taco and head home.

 

Good morning folks. 4 days till 10 days off. And the beginning of my days off overlaps with the end of the wife's days off...maybe we'll get a chance to go do something. There's a lake not far off with a rough road she wants to see. I'm thinking we'll take that fancy new truck out and get some honest dirt on it.

 

Good morning. 4 days off is NOT enough, blinked and it is gone.

Friend of mine who lives in Wi. and is a neighbor in SD during pheasant season had a couple acres in Texas for the winter. Parked a 5th wheeler on it, put in water, electric and septic. His wife passed away 2 years ago and he lost the will to go there anymore so sold it all off for a lot more than he payed for it. Now he goes to Miss. in the winter for a month and rents an apartment. Said that is enough to break up the cold and winter. And doesn't want to be away from his dogs any longer than that. He is 81 now.

Archery hunted deer in the swamp behind my place when I lived in Currituck, NC. One time ended up with the worst case of chiggers the doctors had ever seen. Chig away, rid a chig, fingernail polish, nothing worked. Had them from head to foot. Had a fuel oil (diesel fuel, marine) on board soon after and I rolled around in it. That took care of the little red bastards. My nickname was chigger for a few years after that.

I do have Mountain Money in a ziplock bag in a milk crate in the back. But primary roll is in a ziplock bag in one of the rear access cab doors where it is inside. Everything from starting fires to wiping yer ass. Guess that is how it earned its name Mountain money.

Family complained it was too cold in the house. So I told them to regulate the thermostat.

Wife just told me it was too hot. I said what is the temp at? She said I don't know but I think the thermostat is broken.

Good Morning All. worked all weekend missed alot of pages. chiggers Suck. fingernail pollish helps but kerosene works for me. i use presswash from work. its basically kerosene industrial style
