What's funny is thse guys do all these mods and have no idea what is going on. They tap into things they have no business doing. So at 3 am lights start flashing and horns blow because of this electrical wake up. I love it.

    Oh crap.
    First.
The car is a pita to work on. I don't like it that much from a tech standpoint. You can't get to anything without major work on the body. Lots of screws and plugs and supports to remove. This car is the worse designed race car I have ever seen.
It would lift off the track before the mods performed.
    That being said.
It's extreamly rare. Only a few ever built
    It's friggin loud.
It's FAST. Over 180 at Watkins Glen
    I think around 2000 pounds
Over 500 hp from a 289 ford mid engine
There is no doubt where it is on the track.
It throws you into the seat under acc.
    It's so friggin cool looking.
It's an honor to be trusted with stuff like this. I never forget that anything I do on this car or any other car ,weather it's a race car or customer car, I have people's lives in my hands.

    Morning good people .
Well as expected ford won't do anything with my ecu problem. Even though it's a known problem and it's been attempted to be repaired twice before. So now I'm waiting to see if I can get some good will from the dealer itself to help.
Understand they DONT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING.
It's been over a year since the ecu was installed.
Toyota customers have been coddled for years. So good will from corporate is not unusual so people EXPECT IT. i almost wish they would not do it as much.
So if they help me out fine. If not, fine. It's part of owning a vehicle.

I used to be a Chevy die hard fan. A series of bad experience's with an '88 Chevy 3/4-ton pickup, a worse experience with the GM warranty, and NO effort from the dealer led me to swear off new Chevy's for life. If they GAVE me one, I'd give it to someone else. I understand the pitfalls of owning a vehicle. I sympathize with how dealer service has to work with upset customers. I don't expect miracles. But when THEY know and I know there's a problem that can and SHOULD be solved, and they choose NOT to take care of their obligation, I'm NOT handing them any more of my money.

Trying to total up the cars and trucks I've owned, and that of my wife's vehicles since we've been together, the number is somewhere in the 60 to 65 range.....Of that, 36 were bought NEW. That's probably higher than average, and not the sort of customer a brand want's to kick to the side. But, for ONE truck, there will NEVER be another new Chevy in my driveway.

I guess I'm one of those guys. But I'm a controls tech and smarter than your average bear with these things, just not familiar with all of the automotive circuits. When I changed my headlights out, I wanted to wire the the halos and LED DRLs to the ignition until I go back and install a switch. I'm using an add-a-circuit fuse for the connection. You are limited to circuits under the hood that are only hot with the ignition on. One circuit would not allow me to get the fuse box cover back on, so I moved it to the only other I could find. Turns out it's the EVAP. So, my holos and LEDs do come on. When it cools off some, I'll go back and fix it. It is kinda eery when you are out at night and they come on. I've had people at work say they were walking by my truck and the lights came on. I tell them it's just a motion detector and as long as they stay far enough away, the horn won't start blowing.

Morning all. I have added too many things to the truck, ended up with a second battery with its own fuse box. Easy to set up a switched or non switched curcuit.

Did I have issues? Well the 200 amp alt that I put in did catch on fire. Turned out they built it wrong, problem is my battery light is always on now, they spliced a new harness on and it dosent work right.
