Havnt slept in @3 days. body finally crashed. asleep by 10:30 last nite and just got up. 2 week shift change is killer in the summer. atleast on me.

 

Was it actually expanded metal or just looked like it? We used to use hard facing rods and weld these hard facing beads along the bucket sides, bottoms and edges it simply extends the life of the attachment. Shit burns down n hot but sits on top of the steel

More wear surface so you don't wear out the sides rubbing at the asphault above subgrade. Most use hardface rod, others weld on wear plates.

Trying to survive another day.
Parts for the motor ordered.
Think I'll pull the carb apart and dunk it for a few days. Might lap in the valves and check the lash.
Had to make a special tool for the auto compression release to check the exhaust valve.
Won't hone the cyl until I get the new rings to see how much I can play with the end gap.
