Not long after I moved to Mn. a friend said he had a cousin that was a farmer and owned 6 sections of land. A section is one mile by one mile for those on the East Coast. His tractor had GPS steering and the Federal gov't mandated that an alarm be in the cab that would go off after half a mile if no manual action was taken to prevent accidents. Said it was driving his cousin nuts he liked to read a book as he was working the fields. Because I was "in computers" and a Naval Propulsion Engineer he asked if I would take a look and see if I might be able to take care of his problem.

Climbed in the cab and thought shit I'm in a space ship not a tractor. Took a couple of minutes and looked at the layout and noticed a single speaker (he had surround sound for music) and traced it back. Went to the GPS steering system. A system is a system is a system. Reached under the console and pulled the spade connector off from the speaker.

For 3 years had exclusive hunting rights to 6 square miles of prime hunting land. Then he sold the farm when beans and corn tanked for a couple of years in a row :frusty:

Sorry I can't like that. Haven't paid attention at work with the heat there but have heard the stories on conference calls. Damn.

Don't see much over 80 for the next 2 weeks. But my winter is your summer. Hang in their Martin and be safe, and well hydrated!

All contingency plans are in place...except I need another cabin filter or 2. I should have time to pick some up Monday. The one I have in there no isn't cleaning out so well anymore.

Said the egg as his shell cracked and fell into the frying pan.
    Attaboy!

Stepping into shower, running predeparture checklist.

Uh, gonna take a heap o’sleep ...
My wife’s people in Iowa (@krap22 ) navigate by shtuff like that, “3 gravel roads north to the 2nd blacktop.” And in July every road is a tunnel through corn or soybeans. But I love it!
