Good Morning Folks!
The coffee is tasting good this morning . Sitting watching the Zane Gray Theatre and thinking about goig out for breakfast. We’ve been in a extremely hot and muggy weather pattern that has a light breeze coming off the gulf and roasting us. It should break a little just in time for returning back to reality next week. Trying to decide how I feel about going into work today..

I played hooky yesterday. Built a new coup . Lost another hen. Now we’re down to 4 hens and Lamont the rooster.

 

I miss that channel. Newer tv picks up 2 more channels than the bedroom,idk why.

 

My buddy has chickens and has lost like a dozen.
Caught a couple of possums and it’s still an issue.
So he’s trying some new ideas...

 

There was a section on old coup with 2x4 welded wire and no chicken wire. That’s where they were being pulled thru.

 

Indeed it is - NO MORE NIGHT SHIFT FOR THIS KID!

Good morning everyone. Update on accident victims. Gave my Amanda a huge hug and kiss when she got home from work yesterday. She was very stressed. One of the workers flown out did not make it through the night. God rest his soul. Two of the other fly outs are in a Baltimore area hospital, not sure of their condition. Two others have been released from local hospitals. Building 350 is closed for investigation until the start of third shift Sunday night. Many of the employees in 350 are on the 5-4-9 shift so today is their RDO. Thank you to all who shared concerns and prayers!

 

Morning, 2 1/2 hrs to go in this shift; 2 more shifts this week.

Good Morning

We got some badly needed rain last night. Cloudy and chance for rain all day temps in 70s. County Fair is going on now. We will go tomorrow. I go to get my yearly dose of fair food. Wife wants to see the small animal (rabbits and poltry) auction. We used to be involved in 4H and showed rabbits.

Yeah to bad you can’t get better reception Kevin. The 1973 movie Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid is on tonight on Grit. Bob Dylan plays in the movie. His hit song Knocking on heavens door was written for the movie sound track. Kris Kristofferson plays Billy The Kid. An awesome movie.

 

Good morning. Yeah for weekends, what a great concept. And it is next in line. I really don't feel like working today can't seem to find my motivation, the older I get the more I seem to loose shit. Pretty sure my give a damn is busted too.

@MQQSE maybe Iowa is where you should move when you retire!

Yes, in rural Iowa you definitely navigate by landmarks and numbers of streets you've passed. The corn tunnel roads are fun, but you have to slow down at intersections because you can't see a damn thing coming. In HS there were a number of people who would go booze cruising and grab a case of beer and go drive around on the gravel roads.
