@Tacoma Mike forgot to tell you my daughter has been up there this week for a conference. Flew into Portland and is going to kick around there this weekend before flying home. I'm not sure where the conference was.

Just an observation on life in general.

 

I just saw the most awesome thing just a few min ago driving home !!

As I was driving down a residential street nearby my place I see a Jeep JK Rock Crawler with its l/ front tire sitting ontop of a 5' tall cinder block fence post . This was on a corner lot of a house at a 4 way intersection and everyone driving by had a WTF look on their face LOL !!

This jeep looked awesome with the suspension all twisted and flexed like a home made RTI ramp and just parked their with no one inside of it . I wonder how long it'll be until P.D or Code Enforcement shows up and makes them move it

 

Some pretty county up there.

 

What code or law is he breaking? On private property?

Honestly very very very few.
It’s all about the game of “it wasn’t like that before you touched it”.

Years ago I had customers follow me for like 30 years. No one but me.. green light on everything and anything. No questions asked. Had Christmas presents and cards. Some remembered my birthday.
What I said goes.. thank you for everything.


A family was going on vacation the next day. Mini van stopped shifting. They were in tears. Didn’t know want to do. I was 90% sure of what it was. I had some extra used parts I saved (pack rat). Went to work at 3am. Took the valve body out and replaced the stuck governor assembly. By 7am I was road testing it right to their house. Lights were on so I blew the horn like hell. They came out and I said better pack the car if your going on your trip.
Won’t go into detail after that but lots of hugging went on..


Picked a kid up from school on my way home from work cause cust car broke down and took them home.

Now
I’m a thief
A liar
I throw parts at issues to raise my profits.
I break things so they have to come back and I can steal more money.
The job took you to long.

I distance myself from any cust.
I don’t talk to them
Don’t offer advise
I don’t road test vehicles with customers.
Not gonna happen.
Don’t get paid for it.

So any “real cool” customers are so far under the radar it’s not worth
thinking about it.
