    Bow or crossbow, I range find a circle of death at 40 yards.
    I won't take a shot outside the circle, even if it's a few yards outside.
    Several deer got a pass last year due to this.

    My crossbow has triple crosshairs and set to 20 30 40.
    My self induced bow no question limit is 30. At 40 I’ll need right conditions for comfortable shot.

    Sorry but 40 yards is a long shot for 300fps. If I get a new modern bow then I may stretch it out. You need good peepers for this shit..

    EAA Fly In is happening this week, about 30 miles away. Airplanes flying over all the time. Something they practice acrobatics over us. I like watching the warbirds.
