    ha ha that's the easy part I know I need a 6 50P receptacle the question is what size breaker 30a 40a 50a and then what size wire. should I make the circuit bigger incase I get a bigger tig welder?

    If it's over sized no correction will be needed but if your undersized then you have to pull new wire:spending:before you can use it. Also won't hurt home value to already have a nice beefy 220V outlet correctly done and in place.

    You also limited by length of run. I wouldn't worry unless your distance is really far.

    Morning all. No call overnight from the hospital so Dad must be ok. The truck is in the garage partially waxed. In a few, I'll get out there and finish it up, clean up, and get over to the hospital. Unfortunately there's quite a bit on my plate right now - trying to keep myself out of the funny farm - taking it one day at a time. I hear crackpots hang out in groups; hence I'm here :D We'll get through it...
