    Appears you can change the plug to whichever voltage you desire to use. Many units automatically adjust for the present voltage. Did the unit come with an additional plug for 240 volt?

    I'll have to check what gauge wire it is, but I have a 50 amp extension cord at work for my welder. It's gotta be somewhere between 20'-35'. I've never experienced a drop in power. Always get good penetration.
